Welcome to the LDMA Burnt River Camp

A Gold Mining Camp in Eastern Oregon

Patented land that is bisected both by Burnt River and Deer Creek. Less than a mile away is the Cave Creek patented property for members to utilize as well. Beautiful meadows for camping within this picturesque valley. The main stream and its tributaries have been the source of gold in earlier mining operations, and gold is still found along the high benches. You will also see an abundance of wildlife, including big horn sheep, elk and deer.

Size: 136 Acres (Main Camp) - 32 Acres (Cave Creek)

Season: Apr. 1 - Oct. 31

Amenities: Dry Camping, Dump Station, Water, Restrooms, Showers, Laundry with Washer & Dryer, Clubhouse, and Kitchen use.

Mining Equipment Allowed: Highbanker (No Oregon Highbanker Permit needed when processing at the Camp Ponds), Trommel, Drywasher, Rocker Boxes, Sluice, Crevassing, Panning and Metal Detecting.

Member Rate Camping Fees: Dry - $3/day
