LDMA Scott River is situated in the heart of one of California's earliest gold finds and the pioneering discovery in the scenic Siskiyou Mountains of Northern California. It was in January of 1850 that John Scott unearthed gold in this area, traversed by the Scott River and bestowed with the intriguing moniker of Scott Bar in his honor.
